I like these ideas! I can bring my laptop... I can bookmark some videos and we can watch them on the TV that way. I think all the cables I need to do that are already there. Rick and/or Russ, correct me if I'm wrong on that part. :)

If anyone knows of any videos that would be good to watch at the meeting, link me up!  *laydi*

im just now seeing the post about ideas.
everything there sounded good to me and also i spoke to the owners of taste(the former dale miller) and they would be glad to host us for a pipe night.
we can speak about it at the next meeting.
i was asked what our budget is and i had no idea so lets talk about that at the meeting.
as we have no treasurer or any officers of any kind we are always kinda off the cuff.
so as per normal we will talk about it then. *smokin*

Have a cigar expert give us a talk on the various trends out there today.

Ok, kids... I think we need to have some sort of meeting theme to kick things up a notch.  Some ideas Rick and I have talked about are some of the traditional ones that we've had before.  But I think having some theme or something every month might be fun.  With Russ having his hands full with hearth and home, maybe we could all take turns heading up a monthly theme etc.  What do y'all think?  We could talk about this for the next meeting.  So some ideas are:

Slow smoke contest
Best grain contest
Most unique pipe contest/ weirdest pipe contest
Meerschaum night
Pipes made out of products other than briar
Pipe and alcohol pairings

Let's see if we can get some more ideas!!

well
i have to admit to missing a few this year 2 i think over the winter.
the crappy weather was depressing as well as work being very demanding over the winter season.
i hope the head count gets back to where it was also.
as far as the meeting wed. rick and i have some nice new handmade hand smithed knives for sale to show off.
also we have had alot of requests for lower priced folders and we dont make those.
however...we now carry some very nice ones we could not even come close to making for these prices.
i think we got some nice peices in stock.
i guess we will find out what everyone thinks at the meeting.

FYI- After a long and arduous campaign I can still be called The Mayor. I will start my 7th term in office after "clubbing" my opponent 26 to 12 and am now filling my pipe for a victory smoke. It's good to be King .....er... Mayor !
